About the course

Course content

The thesis should normally contain between 60-80 pages. It shall demonstrate the ability to carry out an independant scientific reserach task. The topic for the master's thesis is selected in consultation with a supervisor, preferably in connection with an existing research project and shall be aproved in the first semester.

Learning outcome

The thesis work is a practical exercise where the students learn how to carry out research projects. The students will be trained in the formulation of research questions, how to gather and analyse data. They will also learn how to write scietific articles. The students will achieve an extended competence on how to analyse socio-cultural phenomena and changes, with a special focus on either technology and science or on gender.

Individual and group based consultations.

Admission to a programme of study is required:
Tverrfaglige kulturstudier (MKULT)

Required previous knowledge

To assign the thesis the students must have passed KULT3305, KULT3310, and EiT.
