About the course

Course content

The subject provides an advanced understanding of qualitative research methodology and design, emphasising approaches common to humanist and social science disciplines. It accentuates the potential of combining different research techniques. Participants are given possibility to work in groups, with given as well as chosen problems. The subject has a reading list of about 800 pages and teaching is concentrated to three days. There is also a voluntary supervisory seminar, meant as support to the writing of the term paper that has to be accepted for students to pass.
Students who need only 7,5 study points may choose KULT8860, where the demands of the term paper are relatively less.
