About the course
Course content
This course offers a further study of the different genres of latin prose of antiquity (with particular emphasis on the imperial period). Latin syntax and stilistics are studied in greater depth.
Learning outcome
Students should acquire an understanding of techniques for translating between Latin and Norwegian. They should improve their knowledge of grammar and style and knowledge of different genres in prose from the imperial period.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures. In the final exam the student is to translate curriculum texts and answar questions related to the texts.

Course materials
Ca 30 pages Latin prose, mostly from the imperial period. Different literary genres should be included.
