About the course

Course content

Parts of the course will be: design methodology of different schools; research in design methodology; design in industry, the role of computers in design; design thinking and research methodology adapted to PhD research in the field of research. The course will be tailored to the candidats Ph.D. research area within the field of design methodology.

Learning outcome

The goal of the course is to enable the participants to see design activities from a scientific point of view. Understanding of theory and models of design methodology to support the theoretical base. Selection and use of methodology has a important role.

Learning methods and activities

The course is given in intensive periods with lections and teamwork. It demands preparation work before each period and a report at the end. The course is finalized by a scientific paper.
