About the course

Course content

Properties for fibers, polymer matrix and core materials. Thermo-mechanical behavior, micromechanical models, laminate theory, damage mechanics and failure criteria. Structures as beams, shell, sandwich plates and tubes. Finite element analysis. Processing and testing.

Learning outcome

To provide knowledge about polymer composite materials with regard to constitutive materials, design and processing.
