About the course

Course content

This course offers a specialisation in the same subject field as KM3010. The course gives an introduction to theoretical and historical perspectives and approaches specific to film studies.

Learning outcome

Students will gain knowledge about the discipline of film studies.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures, seminars, screenings.

Compulsory assignment:
Oral presentation with written documentation.

More on assessment: The final assessment is based on a letter-graded 5-days take-home examination with a total length of 8-10 pages on a given topic.

Students are required to check the result of their assignment on the department's bulletin boards.

Students are required to stay updated on any information given by the department or course director; either via It's learning, Innsida, course pages on the web, or on bulletin boards.

Filmvitenskap (MFILM)

Required previous knowledge

Bachelor's degree in Media Production. Admission to the Master's programme in Media Production.
