Course content
In the introductory part various types of existing fish farm plants are described and evaluated related to their suitability and durability in exposed and offshore waters. New farm concepts will be dealt with in comparison with existing, with main emphasis on constructional strength, structure and fish net durability, farm safety, working conditions and safety, accessibility and influence on fish cage (volume) performance as well as fish welfare, growth and control in rough conditions.
Learning outcome
Be able to design and perform necessary engineering analyses of offshore fish farms.
