MUSP4136 - Accompaniment A
Course content
The course includes accompaniment and ensemble literature for the most common solo instruments and songs from important periods and genres, as well as lessons in accompaniment in the company of the instructor. The student should play at internal concerts during the study.
Learning outcome
The course will develop the student's skills in active, responsive and flexible accompaniment of other musicians/singers.
Learning methods and activities
Instruction in accompaniment, in groups or individually, 0.5 - 1 hours a week for 27 weeks. Observation of the teacher.
Program for the examination concert and the studied repertoire must be delivered before April 1st.
Compulsory assignments
- Satisfactory participation in compulsory instruction
- The student must perform at min. one concert in addition to the exam
- Studied repertoire minimum 60 minutes
Recommended previous knowledge
Required previous knowledge
Requires passed MUSP4120 or corresponding course. Principal instrument must have been piano, guitar, accordion or other chord instrument.
