Course content

The course includes various musical forms of improvisation. Instruction will be adapted according to the needs and desires of participants and related to their instruments and genre preference.

Learning outcome

The course aims to develop and stimulate the musical intuition and creativity of students in selected musical genres of improvisation.

Learning methods and activities

Group instruction - 1 lesson a week for 27 weeks.
In the case of individual instruction - 0.5 hours a week for 27 weeks.
Instruction might be based on projects.
Program for the examination concert and the studied repertoire must be delivered before April 1st.

Compulsory assignments

• Satisfactory participation in compulsory instruction
• Studied repertoire minimum 60 minutes

Specific conditions

Required previous knowledge

Requires passed MUSP4122 or corresponding course. A qualifying audition might be required.
