About the course
Course content
The course includes techniques of developing motifs and composition, expanded theory of harmonics, instrumentation, and analysis.
Learning outcome
The course will provide the student with knowledge of and practice in arranging ones own and others compositions within various genres, as well as composing ones own pieces.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures/group - 3 lessons a week for 27 weeks.
Individual tutoring - 0.5 hour a week for 27 weeks.
Compulsory exercises (evaluated as a whole).
Compulsory assignments
- Satisfactory participation in compulsory instruction

Required previous knowledge
Requires passed MUSP4124 or MUSP4125 or corresponding course. The student must qualify for the course on the basis of submitted works that is attached to the application.
