About the course
Course content
The course requires significant independent study. Individual instruction includes instrumental skills with an emphasis on improvisation. The ensemble instruction includes repertoire development, practice in improvisation, conducting, and technique. During the course the student will receive relevant studio training.
Compulsory course in Physiology:
The course is comprised of health theory, physiology, prevention of strain injuries, as well as exercises in relaxation, concentration, and warming up. The course also includes preparations before performing.
Learning outcome
The course aims to enable students to perform and communicate music at a high level both as a soloist and as a part of various ensembles.
Learning methods and activities
Individual instruction - one lesson a week for 27 weeks.
Group instruction - 50 lessons in total for ensemble projects, provided in concentrated periods during the academic year.
Project - various forms of instruction.
Compulsory courses.
Compulsory course in Physiology:
Instruction: 1 lesson a week. Individual lectures, class lectures and groups- 27 weeks.
Assessment: Pass/fail based on participation in compulsory instruction.
