About the course
Course content
The course consists of problem solving, arranging one's own and others' compositions in the traditions of jazz ensembles and big band, as well as composing original material.
Learning outcome
The course will provide students with knowledge of and practice in arranging for jazz ensembles.
Learning methods and activities
Group instruction - 1 lesson per week for 27 weeks.
Assessment: The portfolio shall contain arrangements/compositions in recorded and/or score form. The number of works will vary, depending on the the compositions/arrangements.
Compulsory assignments
- Satisfactory participation in compulsory instruction

Admission to a programme of study is required:
