About the course

Course content

Individual lessons and independent work on the organ. In addition the student must participate as a soloist or with chamber-music in a minimum of three public concerts, including one concert organised by Department of music. The course also includes ensemble- and accompaniment practice.

Compulsory course in Course in Music Presentation:
The course is comprised of selected topics, such as concert arrangement, stage performance, programme planning, performance preparations, communication, the music producer, the critic, audience target group, etc. The student will experience preparation, performance and evaluation through practice connected to the departement's concert series and projects, in addition to her/his own concerts or mediation assignments.
The individual student will submit a project report at the end of the course.

Learning outcome

The individual instruction should, in addition to a development of skills and knowledge of a varied repertoire, focus on promoting the stundents artistic and personal abilities as musicians.

Learning methods and activities

Individual instruction - 1 hour pr. week for 27 weeks
Interpretation - Two 1- hour groups for 20 weeks.
Project - various instruction

Course in Music Presentation:
Lectures on selcted topics (see Academic content). The amount of instruction will vary from one year to the next, but will comprise approximately 1 hour pr. week, in addition to supervision related to the individual concerts and projects. The project report should be submitted by April 30th at the latest.

Requires passed MUSP4521 or corresponding course.
