Course content

Individal instruction and independent work on the instrument. In addition the student must participate as a soloist or with chamber-music in a minimum of three public concerts, including one concert organised by Department of music. The course also includes ensemble- and accompaniment practice.

Learning outcome

The individual instruction should, in addition to the development of skills and knowledge of a varied repertoire, focus on promoting the artistic and personal abilities of the student as musician.

Learning methods and activities

Individual instruction - 1 hour pr. week for 27 weeks
Interpretation - Two 1- hour groups for 20 weeks.
Project - various instruction.
Program for the examination concert and the studied repertoire (min 360 minutes) must be delivered before April 1st.

Compulsory assignments

• Satisfactory participation in compulsory instruction

Specific conditions

Required previous knowledge

Requires passed MUSP4531 or corresponding course. The students who takes this subject is supposed to be highly qualified, and it may be an audition.
