About the course

Course content

Work is continued on furthering the development of conducting technique, instruction technique and repertoire, etc. A focus is set on the production of at least one project during the academic year, where the students are able to study with and manage a choir/ensemble undertaking a substantial work of church music.

Learning outcome

Through further concentrated study of the topic, the student should develop the ability to manage church music of a complex character.

Learning methods and activities

Group instruction - 2 hours pr. week for 27 weeks.
Singing - support instrument - 0.5 hours pr. week for 27 weeks.

Assessment: The student studies a 30 minutes long composition for choir, soloists and orchestra that is performed on a concert.

Compulsory assignments

  • Course in singing - Support Instrument
  • Satisfactory participation in compulsory instruction

Specific conditions

Admission to a programme of study is required:
Musikk, utøvende (BMUSP)

Required previous knowledge

Requires passed MUSP4535 or corresponding course.
