About the course

Course content

The course focuses on dealing with the challenges and mental strategies needed to prepare for performances, including mental and practical training strategies. The planning and evaluation of personal performance experiences forms the basis for seminar discussions.

Learning outcome

The course aims to develop the student's understanding of performance preparations, particularly with respect to practice strategies and motivation, and other related topics.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures, seminar discussions. Written assignment, minimum 4 A4 pages. The asssigment is the base for the final examination.

  • Satisfactory participation in compulsory instruction

Musikk, utøvende (MMUSP)

Required previous knowledge

Requires admission to the Master's programme in Music Performance Studies.
