Course content

The students will establish ensembles appropriate to relevant instruments, and which collectively meet the required difficulty of the course. The student must participate in at least one concert in addition to the practical examination.

The course is designed in such a way that at least 3 students must be registered for the course, for it to be taught.

Learning outcome

The course will provide the students with knowledge of and skills in jazz ensemble playing in various styles/repertoires.

Learning methods and activities

Instruction - 1 lesson per week for 13 weeks. Assessment: Practical ensemble test lasting a minimum of 20 minutes.

Compulsory assignments

• Satisfactory participation in compulsory instruction.

Specific conditions

Required previous knowledge

Requires admission to the Master's Programme in Music Performance Studies.
