About the course

Course content

Theoretical, musical, aesthetic, ethical and artistic issues are dealt with in the perspective of artistic development.

The course is designed in such a way that at least 3 students must be registered for the course, for it to be taught.

Learning outcome

Developing the student's skills and ability to theoretical reflection on musical, aesthetic and artistic issues, through discussions and presentations in a wide area of relevant theoretical topics aiming at artistic development and maturation.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures, seminars. Instruction equivalent of 1.5 lessons per week for 27 weeks. Written and/or medial documentation of the student's presentation(s) in class or from an external forum.

Compulsory assignments

  • Satisfactory participation in compulsory instruction.

Admission to a programme of study is required:
Musikk, utøvende (MMUSP)

Required previous knowledge

Requires admission to the Master's Programme in Music Performance Studies.
