About the course

Course content

The course provides a critical, humanistic perspective of the history and specifics of music technology, along with the development of new directions in production, distribution and the use of music. The course also evaluates the relationship between technology, aesthetics and musical expression/shape and practice. Techniques in music technology are illustrated.

Learning outcome

The course should provide students with an increased understanding of what music technology is, what it provides, and how it affects people.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures: 2 hours per week for 13 weeks. Exercises: Exercises may be a written essay and/or practical assignments.
