Course content
Practical work and theoretical introduction to basic room acoustics, PA systems, specifications for sound equipment, practical use of microphones, planning and carrying out concert and theatre sound.
Learning outcome
The course will provide the student with practical and theoretical knowledge of concert and theatre sound.
Learning methods and activities
Practically adapted lectures: 2 hours per week for 13 weeks. Exercises: The exercises will be practical work on concert sound, sound installations or similar.
Assessment: Practical exam will consist of controlling sound in a public environment, for example on a concert or as a sound installation. All components of the assessment must be passed. If you fail on one part of the examination you must retake the part which you have failed.

Requires admission to the Bachelor's programme in Music Technology and passed MUST1053.
