About the course

Course content

Practical and theoretical introduction to sound installations, spatialisation, sensors and micro controllers, programming interactive instalations, relevant aesthetic problems and art historical context.

Learning outcome

The course will provide the student a foundation for work with sound installations and other creative expressions with sound in public environments.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures: 2 hours per week for 12 weeks. Exercises: The exercises will be practical work on composition or sound installations. The exercises may also be written reflection tasks.

Admission to a programme of study is required:
Musikkteknologi (BMUST)

Required previous knowledge

Requires admission to the Bachelor's programme in Music Technology and passed MUST1053 and MUST2058.
