About the course

Course content

The in-depth study may be taken individually or in groups. During the first semester the student should present a plan where the content of the in-depth study is made precise. Examples of possible in-depth studies are: Interactive application of technology in music performance, music production, electro-acoustic composition, instrument design, controllers for music performance, analysis and synthesis of sound, pedagogical and methodological application of music technology in music education.

Learning outcome

The student should develop competence and insight in artistic and creative performance and application of music technology. This could include a development of competence in artistic application of music technology as a musical instrument, or scientific, analytical, or pedagogical, methodological in-depth studies in aspects of sound, instruments and technology that will be of importance for new creative applications of music technology in music performance or music education.

Academic supervision.
Assessment: The type of examination will be decided when the theme and form of the in-depth study is agreed upon.

Required previous knowledge

Requires admission to the Master's programme in Music Technology.
