About the course
Course content
Practical and theoretical experience and insight in audio recording of musical ensembles and bands from various genres (classical, jazz, rock, folk music), studio production and electro-acoustic music, sound distribution systems/surround, advanced producer tasks.
Learning outcome
The course should provide the student with extensive insight and practical experience in the various creative tasks that are carried out in a modern recording studio.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures: 2 hours per week for 12 weeks in autumn. Exercises: The exercises will be recording and sound production. About the assessment: The exams will be a substantial studio production combined with a written report. The practical test will be in a studio. All components of the assessment must be passed. If you fail on one part of the examination you must retake the part which you have failed.
