Practical Studies
About
About the course
Course content
The course is based on Practical Studies I, II and III at the Bachelor's level. Instruction for the principal instrument (individual instruction) is provided over two semesters, and requires skills equivalent to the main instrument examination at the Bachelor's level. In addition, a compulsory one-semester practical course is provided (group instruction) in acoustics, improvisation, choir conducting or similar topics (may vary). Students who have a certification in an instrument or vocals from a music conservatory, music college or equivalent education are not eligible for instruction in MUSV3005. These students will be provided a course in an advanced topic as a replacement.
