Course content
This subject addresses key questions of visual analysis and methodology through a variety of examples illustrating the uses and functions of images as media in visual culture, as well as in audiovisual and textual contexts.
Learning outcome
Students will gain a basic overview of what characterizes visual art works and everyday imagery as expressions of a communicative as well as an aesthetic kind. Students will also be able to identify and differentiate between various image types and genres.

The final assessment is based on a 4-hour written examination graded from A-F.
Students are required to check the result of their assignment on the department's bulletin boards.
