The course instruction is research based, which entails that the problem area of the course will be orientated at the lecturer's research profile. This implies that the academic content varies.
It is possible to focus on other areas. Students who request this must apply to the Department no later than 15 January.

Learning outcome

The work with Specialization Subject II is intended to give the student a thorough insight into a specific area within media studies in the humanities.

Lectures and group sessions.

More on assessment: The final assessment is based on a letter-graded 5-days take-home examination with a total length of 8-10 pages on a given topic.

Students are required to keep updated on relevant information from the department or course director via It's learning, Innsida, course web pages or the department's bulletin boards.

Medievitenskap: Visuell kultur (MMVIT)

Required previous knowledge

Bachelor's degree in Media Studies. Requires admission to the Master's programme in Media Studies: Visual Culture.
