About the course
Course content
The course consists of an individual curriculum associated with the master's thesis. The topic may, but does not have to, be related to the thesis. The examination is normally held at the same day as the master's thesis examination, and with the same examiner.
Learning outcome
Provide the student with comprehensive knowledge about a neuroscientific problem of choice. By thorough study an advanced understanding of the subject, including awareness of detailed mechanisms and general principles, will be achieved.
Learning methods and activities
Private study, 2-3 semesters. The language of examination is English.
Specific conditions
Admission to a programme of study is required:
Neuroscience (MSNEUR)
Nevrovitenskap (MNEVRO)
Recommended previous knowledge
Passed NEVR3001, NEVR3002, NEVR3003 and NEVR3004.
Required previous knowledge
The student must be admitted to the Master of Science in Neuroscience.
Course materials
The reading list is planned together with the supervisor, and must be approved by the coordinator.
