About the course
Course content
Students who earlier have taken exams in all available course codes for literry courses on the intermediate (2000-) level, but who wishes to have yet another literary subject, may use the code NORD2230 for this purpose. The student follows the lectures and curriculum of the course they want to follow, and uses the code NORD2230 only as exam code.
Learning outcome
The course aims at providing students with a deeper understanding of a defined topic in Norwegian or Scandinavian literature based on competence related both to literary texts and literary theory.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures/group sessions. Tutoring. Course requirement: Approved reading list. Form of assessment: Two-week take home exam with tutoring. The paper should be 12 - 15 pages long.

NORD1102, NORD1104, NORD1106 and NORD1108 or equivalent.

None.
Course materials
The reading list consists of 10 works, and at least three and max. five of these must be of a theoretical nature. One work of theory is defined as a text/texts counting at least 150 pages. The rest of the works on the reading list will consist of fiction. The curriculum could center on e.g. one authorship, a literary epoch, a genre, a theme or theoretical perspective. It is expected that the students read necessary secondary literature in connection to the literary texts on the reading list.
