Course content
Same as NORD1108, except that 'NORX' students will not have to write the obligatory assignment, and are exempted from the language requirement, and will not have to demonstrate mastery in both 'bokmål' and 'nynorsk'. Also, the difference between the demands to correct use of the Norwegian language between 'NORX' courses and ordinary 'NORD' courses is explained in the text about Scandinavian studies in the course catalogue for 2010/2011 (In Norwegian: 'Studiehandboka 2010/2011').
The student composes a reading list based on the curriculum of NORD1108. The list must be approved by the department. The reading list must consist of 2 longer epic or dramatic texts, 10 shorter epic texts and 15 lyrical texts, and in addition, a relevant work of literary history.
Learning outcome
Same as NORD1108.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures and groupwork. The students attend the lectures in NORD1108. The student reads a shorter variant of the curriculum for NORD1108. Exam: Obligatory paper written during the semester with supervision (5-7 pages) and oral test (30 minutes).
