About the course
Course content
The course covers three areas within manufacturing logistics; analysis of manufacturing logistics systems, modeling and simulation, and design of logistics systems. The analysis covers economical analysis, material flow analysis and process analysis. Within modeling and simulation following topics are covered; enterprise modeling, process models and discrete event simulation. Methods and principles for value chain design.
Learning outcome
The student shall be able to analyze a given manufacturing logistics system by use of different modeling and simulation techniques. Shall also be able to design a given system with different customer requirements.
