About the course

Course content

The course covers current issues and main patterns of development in politics and society, both nationally and internationally, and analyze these by relying on political science research and literature. The course content depends on the lecturer. Please contact the departement for further information.

Learning outcome

The learning objective is to teach the students political science thinking. By offering an introduction to different topics within political science the students will learn how to distinguish between the general way of thinking and the ‘political science way of thinking’.

Learning methods and activities

Teaching methods and activities: 2 hours of lectures per week throughout the semester and supervison of project work.
Compulsory activity: Approved term paper (3000 words/8 pages).
Form of assessment: 3-hour written exam. Language of instruction is English.
