About the course
Course content
The Master Thesis is a scientific analysis of a topic within political science and can be up to 50 pages in length (approximately 19000 words). Both seminar participation and individual supervision is mandatory. The aim of this supervision is to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to complete their thesis.
Learning outcome
The learning objective is to prepare the students for independent research. Through mandatory supervision the students will be guided through the various steps included in a research project as constructive and critical evaluation of others research, research preparations and cooperation, data collection, analysis, and research presentation. The process leading up to the master thesis gives students skills that are useful in administrative jobs as well as in teaching and research.
Learning methods and activities
Mandatory Master Thesis Seminar and individual supervision.
Form of assessment: Master Thesis and an oral exam which can be used to adjust the Master Thesis grade by one unit.
The course is reserved for students admitted to the Master of Science in Political Science.
