About the course

Course content

This course will take up the historical development of Psychology and its related problems from its inception to the eighteen hundreds. It will then continue with the further development of these main themes up to the present day. The course serves as a general introduction to Psychology and to the courses that follows.

Learning outcome

This course will:
• Give the student a background which he/she will need to continue the study of Psychology.
• Find approaches in the development of the subject.
• Find connections among different areas of study.

Learning methods and activities

Teaching method and activities: Lectures 2 hours per week, seminars, assignments, colloquium.
