Course content
This course in biological psychology is a basic course that concerns itself with the biological foundations of human behaviour and mental consciousness. The course will give students knowledge of the central neuro-biological principles that are involved in processing information and that are involved in important psychological subjects, e.g. sensation and perception, motivation, emotion, memory, language, sleep, dreaming and mental illness. An introduction to the methods which are used in research in the area of biological psychology will also be provided.

Teaching method and activities: Lectures 2 hours per week, colloquium.
