About the course

Course content

The instruction in this course takes as its theme the concepts of personality psychology and gives an introduction to theory, methods and research results. It concentrates on three main questions: “What is personality?”, “What factors form the personality?” and “What role does personality play in behaviour and functioning?”.

Learning outcome

Gives students a familiarity with concepts used in the Psychology of Personality and the three main questions in this field (see description in Departmental Course Index), insights into the methods which are utilized in the Psychology of Personality.

Learning methods and activities

Teaching method and activities: Lectures 2 hours per week, seminars, colloquium.
