About the course

Course content

This research course in Psychology includes scientific theory and qualitative methods.

The department offers a course in qualitative analysis program.

Learning outcome

• Preparing for and carrying out qualitative research projects. The emphasis will be on providing an introduction to the thematisation and formulation of research objectives, various designs, practical interview training, transcription, different analytical approaches, verification and reporting.
• Give an introduction to, and contribute to, critical reflection about basic problems associated with modern research.

Lectures, seminars and exercises.

Admission to the course is restricted All students must register in STUDENTWEB within 1 June (autumn semester) and 1 December (spring semester) if they want to take a course with restricted admission. This procedure must also be followed by students admitted to a programme of study where the course is obligatory. Students admitted to the particular programme of study will be given priority.

The student must successfully have passed foundational psychology courses including PSY1000-PSY1006, or their equivalent.
