About the course
Course content
The course consists of a 15 credit bachelor project in Psychology and is based on an empirical study. The empirical study is selected from among available topics central to psychological research.
The number of topics offerred will depend on the number of registered students. Each project has a supervisor.
The students are required to work together, but must write an individually exam.
Learning outcome
The course is expected to give training in writing an independent research report teach students how to prepare, carry out, analyze, report and evaluate quantitative data, or learn and prepare, as wel as carry out qualitative research projects. Be able to give an introduction to and contribute to critical evaluation of fundamental issues connected to modern research.
Learning methods and activities
Mutual writing course. Depending on research design - tutorials, seminars, exercises, fieldwork or projectwork will be offered.
Forms of assessements: Assignment must be submitted in three copies.
Admission to the course is restricted All students must register in STUDENTWEB within 1 June (autumn semester) and 1 December (spring semester) if they want to take a course with restricted admission. This procedure must also be followed by students admitted to a programme of study where the course is obligatory. Students admitted to the particular programme of study will be given priority.

Required previous knowledge
The student must have successfully passed foundational psychology courses including PSY1000-PSY1006, or their equivalent. PSY2002 and PSY2003 must be taken (registered for exam) before or during the same semester as PSY2004.
