Course content
We regularly encounter new and greater challenges tied to understanding the mechanisms that the media industry and other communication agents use to emotionally and cognitively affect us. Communication is often understood as a self-explaining term both in academia and industry. This course aims at developing an understanding of the fundamental dimensions of communication- and media psychology. Problem-based activities will be used to enhance deeper reflection into current questions. The course is of particular relevance to anyone who wishes to work with communication related tasks within the media industry as well as the corporate world.

The course aims at giving the students:
- an introduction to the basic terms and concepts within the communication literature and media psychology.
- practice in presenting analytical considerations from the field
- insight in practical use of terms and concepts.

Teaching form and activities:
Seminar, lectures, field work and presentation.
The course is reserved for students admitted to a particular programme. Exchange students interested in the course must consult the Department for possible admission.
