About the course

Course content

The course's starting point is SPSS software with AMOS. Multivariate research methods emphasised in the course's general part are MANOVA/ MANCOVA, regression analyses (Multiple/ hierarchical/ stepwise) and factor analyses. The course will provide both a theoretical introduction and exercises in a PC lab. The course (general part, as well as specialized component) consists of 30 hours and is arranged over a period of five days. Recommended literature and topics for specialization in the research seminars will be announced on the Department’s website.

Learning outcome

The course aims to:
To train candidates in multivariate research methods which are applied in experimental/non-experimental research.
Provide a general introduction of the most utilized multivariate research methods.
Train the candidate in more specific, advanced multivariate research methods and exercises.

Learning methods and activities

Participation in lectures, seminars, laboratory exercises. The course is offered when at least 5 persons are registered.

Required previous knowledge

The primary requirement for admission is that the applicant holds a cand.psychol., cand.polit./ Master's degree in Psychology or equivalent.
