Course content
PSYPRO4020 is a basic course in the theory and methodology of biological psychology. In particular, physiological psychology, behavioural genetics and neuropsychology will be taken as the starting point. The teaching in these disciplines will be integrated. Human and animal studies will be emphasised in all disciplines. The course methodology is the most laboratory dominated and the most technological in psychology and the teaching will include both demonstrations and a large amount of individual tutorial guidance in connection with laboratory practice and subsequent analysis.
Learning outcome
The teaching will provide the students with an understanding of the biological basis of normal and deviant behaviour.

Lectures, seminars and group work. Tutorials.
The course requires admission to the 6 year clinical psychologist programme.
