Course content
PSYPRO4030 is a basic course in the theory and methodology of social psychology. Social psychology understands the individual as socially constituted and studies the mediation processes that affect the individual, the group and society. Empirical research findings and issues related to fundamental fields of social psychological knowledge will be examined. The students will be introduced to, and given practical experience in, interviewing, questionnaire work and group observation. Quantitative and qualitative methods in social psychology will be examined and discussed.
Learning outcome
The teaching will provide the students with knowledge about how human beings think and function as social individuals, both in small groups and in wider society, and will give them the opportunity for reflection. The teaching will also provide the opportunity for training in the written and oral presentation of specific assignments.

Lectures, seminars and exercises.
The course requires admission to the 6 year clinical psychologist programme.
