About the course

Course content

Guidance and tuition will include coverage of analyses, diagnostic assessments, establishing contact, alliances, design and execution of treatment plans, the development of collaborative relationships, conclusion of therapy and assessment of therapy. Record keeping is also included in the training. Approval of in-house practice takes place in accordance with the separate guidelines for practice.

Learning outcome

Through working in in-house practice the student will encounter a variety of problems and different work tasks relevant to later professional practice as a psychologist in the therapeutic role. The student will also gain experience in working with both children and young people in this semester.

Learning methods and activities

Therapy and group tutorials.

The course requires admission to the 6 year clinical psychologist programme.

Compulsory assignments

  • In-house practise. 80% compulsory participation
