About the course

Course content

The most frequent applications of psychology during the administration of justice. This includes expert assistance in criminal cases in the form of judicial observations, in civil cases in the form of rights to compensation and in civil cases and administration in the form of support in child custody and child protection cases. The course will also cover clinical forensic psychology, which includes conditions important in the context of anti-social behaviour and witness psychology.

Learning outcome

The students will receive an overview of the legal system, the progress of casework, court procedures and a review of current legislation.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures.

The course requires admission to the 6 year clinical psychologist programme.
