Course content
The course presents anthropological approaches to organizations and businesses and covers interpersonal relations, the dynamics of cooperation, group processes, loyalty building and corporate culture. Examines the identity politics of things; processes that turn both businesses and products into brand names. Organizational, rhetorical and narratological factors in such processes are identified and analyzed.
Learning outcome
To develop a basic understanding of anthropological perspectives on business organizations and corporations.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures/seminars and written assignments (approx. 24 hours).The course may be offered in English if necessary.
One approved written assignment.
4-hour written exam.
