About the course
Course content
The point of departure for the course will be Schöns break with the technical rationality as a framework for thoughts on practical work in the field. Even though many situations in the field will resemble previous experiences, the practice of social work will largely take place in a situation that is new and unique.
In this course the focus will be on reflection as a tool for developing knowledge that is relevant for Social Work practice. The course also discusses ethical dilemmas as a challenge for Social Work practice.
Learning outcome
The course is designed to give insight into new theory in relation to the practice of social work.
Learning methods and activities
Teaching method and activities: Lectures, seminars and group work.
Compulsory activity: Approved oral presentation.
Form of assessment: Individual assignment (10 pages).
