Course content

The course will provide knowledge and stimulate to reflection on questions related to ethnicity and diversity. Phenomena like globalisation, transnationalism and forced migration make society more diverse. This has impact on both individuals and environment. The course will focus on the consequences these changes have on living conditions and health and discuss to which degree and in what way the walfare systems are adjusted to these changes. Further on the course will stimulate developing a critical understanding of existing knowledge and methodology. The academic content in the course will vary, and will be announced prior to the course. Participants are supposed to write a paper linked to the course content but also related to the participant's own PhD-dissertation.

Learning outcome

To develop the candidate's qualifications according to new scientific knowledge in the field and further develop the candidate's qualifications for work that requires a high standard of academic expertise.
