About the course
Course content
The course will provide knowledge and stimulte to reflection on questions related to ethnisity and diversity. Phenomena like globalisation, transnationalism and forced migration make society more diverse. This has impact on both individuals and environment. This course will focus on the consequences these changes have on living conditions and health and discuss to which degree and in what way the walfare systems are adjusted to these changes. Further on the course will stimulate developing a critical understanding of existing knowledge and methodology. The academic content in the course will vary, and will be announced prior to the course. Participants are expected to read papers from students that take part in the course with paper (Ethnicity and diversity I). One will be appointed as discussant for at least one of the papers.
Learning outcome
To develop the candidate's qualifications according to new scientific knowledge in the field and further develop the candidate's qualifications for work that requires a high standard of academic expertise.
