About the course
Course content
The course gives the students a thorough introduction to a type of qualitative analysis and the corresponding techniques of analysis inspired by either phenomenology, hermeneutics or grounded theory. The consepts of validity and reliability are also addressed. The approach chosen for each course will be explained when the course is announced. The course will help students develop a critical understanding of the strenghts and weaknesses of this approach to research and analysis. Participants are expected to read papers from students that take part in the course with paper (Qualitative analysis I). One will be appointed as discussant for at least one of the papers.

To further develop the candidate's qualifications regarding a qualitative analytical approach and its techniques of analysis.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures, discussions, seminar and construction of knowledge through analysis of available empirical material.
