About the course

Course content

Both the philosophy of science and quantitative methods are included in this course. The course concentrates on statistical techniques like correlation, factor and regression analysis.

Learning outcome

Through the course the students should be able to develope their own research questions, collect and analze data from different reseach areas within the social sciences through quantitative methods and techniques.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures equivalent to 2 hours per week and tutorials/seminars including supervision equivalent to 2 hours per week.

Required previous knowledge

SOS1002 or IDRSA1004 or the equivalent.
