About the course

Course content

The course focuses on how Spanish culture, history and politics have influenced and have been influenced by other European states. This will shed light on Spain's role as both supplier and recipient of cultural and political provisions in a historical as well as a contemporary perspective.


Learning outcome

The students will gain insight into the historic, political and economic interplay between Spain and Europe.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures and group session. The course is taught in Spanish.

Compulsory assignments

  • 1 written assignment, approx. 4 pages

Required previous knowledge

Requires admission to the bachelor's programme in European Studies and Foreign Languages (Spanish), or completed one-year programme in Spanish.
